Hi All;;
After all the responses and wrong guesses we felt like we should let you all in on the correct responses : Of Course the ONE TRUE ANSWER to all of today troubles is Our LORD AND SAVIOUR .
The answer to where we went is Livingston, Tx where it was around 72- 85 most of the time
The why should be obvious to ALL you IOWANS We are not able to camp in freezing weather and had to thaw out our water system.
And on Dec !4th ,, we were ::::SILLY US , WE WERE BACK IN IOWA (WITH OUT THE motor home or the cats,,,,
We did enjoy our stay with our many friends and family that allowed us to stay.... We had quite a few enjoyable visits and meals with many of you.
Judy spent the majority of the time in the Belle Plaine area while John spent his in the Quad Cities... John returned to Cedar Rapids on Monday after the last great ICE and SNOW storm to join Judy at her Sister Diane's for Christmas Day then visited Andy briefly in I.C.
We left CR at 5:40 am Wednesday the 26th and arrived in Livingston at 4:15 am the 27th
The cats seamed to have really missed us while we gone...
We are going to be here at Rainbows End until the 3rd of Jan , when we will begin our journey down to the very south of Texas (Rio Grande City) to begin a 3 week NOMAD project followed by another 3 weeks at Pharr,Tex well someone has to go be there and we will be thinking of you IOWANS.
May 2008 be full of GODS BLESSINGS and continued good health for all of you.

Greetings to all :
This has been a very interesting week for us. We really did get a lot accomplished as Judy had her teeth checked and cleaned (good news , no other work was needed!!) Judy also got down to Iowa City U. of I. hospitals to have eyes checked, she got a new prescription for new glasses and was also told that she has cataracts forming and they will be rechecked in May, when we are back in Iowa.
We have seen all the immediate family and have decided that our blood is not thick enough for this cold weather... so we are heading south, as soon as we are cleared by our Dr. in Marengo on Wednesday. We will just have early Christmas with the kids and then save them a bunch of time over the summer.
We ask that you all pray for the Hinschberger family with the lost of Terri Jo's grandfather, service are Wednesday the 5th. also pray for good traveling weather as we travel back to Texas.
WE ARE TERRIBLY SORRY WE WEREN'T ABLE TO GET AROUND TO VISIT AND SEE EACH OF YOU!!! we owe you an extra hug when we catch you this summer. We will be returning to the Des Moines area around the 21st of April, as John will be working for ADVENTURELAND PARK through the end of SEPT.
May GODS BLESSING be given to each of you and THE LONGS on the road are wishing each of you MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR
