YIPPEE YIPPEE, WE ARE HOME IN TEXAS
First of all to bring you up to date on our final week in Coffeyville; There were only 12 present for our final Worship hour, as so many were either working or resting from the extra hours of the work (most were working in excess of 50 hours).
Was busy getting all the mail and paychecks distributed, just in case Judy's Dr sent her onto Oklahoma City, after her scheduled office visit on Monday afternoon. He was pretty pleased with her overall improvement. Although he still would like her to have further consultation with a more specialized Dr. Since everywhere he suggested to go was such a distance from Coffeyville, we felt it would be wise to just take our motor home and move closer to the area of the consultation, in case there is more procedures to get done. So of all of the possibilities we choose to have it done in Houston, Tx. at the Baylor University Medical Center.
On Tuesday morning we finished tiding up loose ends and getting the Endeavor ready to move. We pulled out around 10 a.m. and headed to Bartlesville, Ok to get medication and paperwork from Jane Phillips Medical Center, to hand carry to the Drs. at BUMC. We finally was on the road South around 2:30 p.m. We drove as far as the Indian Nations food/gas plaza at Antlers, where it had turn dark and was beginning to rain.
On Wednesday, the rain had stopped by daylight, so we headed into Texas. We made several stops as we weren't in any hurry. We pulled into the R&L Ranch at Rainbows End, near Livingston, Texas, about 3:15p.m. While Judy went into Wiehrs to visit, John got Litl' Red detached from the Endeavor and parked on the landing pad. John finished setting up just in time to go play Pinochle over at the Clubhouse .
The Doctor from BUMC, called on Thursday, and gathered some more information from Judy and scheduled her consultation for Wednesday the 9Th in Houston, which is only around 50 miles away from here.
While we are here, Ralph has asked that John take care of some more minor projects on their manufactured home. So that, card-playing along with all the other social activities should keep John busy that he doesn't get into very much trouble.
Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm were sure excited to see some familiar landscape, meaning that they may get some freedoms (Dad went and purchased a new tie-out today).
Our Holiday plans are to stay here at Rainbows End until after New Years Day and then head out to Sunscape RV Resort in Casa Grande, Az. We will be there during January, to assist, as needed, the CHRISTIAN RESORT MINISTRIES CHAPLAINS Don and La Von Baker. We then begin our next NOMAD projects in Tucson on Feb.4Th for 3 weeks, then go to Phoenix for another 3 weeks project. We will then hang around Phoenix area for another week or 10 days while Andy joins us to take in some of the CUBS spring training. Then unto Gore, OK for another 3 week NOMAD project. Then the plans at this time is to head towards Iowa for the Summer at ADVENTURELAND where John is suppose to be the overnight security officer in the campground there, while assisting CHRISTIAN RESORT CHAPLAINS Jack and Karen Gregory, with the ministry there.
You all may also keep up with us on a daily basis as we are now also posting on Facebook as John N Judy Long and also at Tweeter as ChaplainLong.
There are so many prayer request at this time that I need to organize them and make another post tomorrow along with the possibilities of some pictures.
We hope that you'll remember 'THE REASON FOR THE SEASON' and enjoy with your loved ones.
Again we truly appreciate everyone that prayed for Judy while she was in the hospital last month. We are also thankful for those of you that have enabled us to be out here full time by supporting us with your prayers, moral support of call, letter, and e-mails, also we want those, that financially support us to know that it makes the difference if we are to continue to stay out here on the road for Christ or not.
The closing scripture verse is Romans 12:1-8 also check out the CRM site as listed on the side of our blog, to find out more about CRM and how individuals can help.
May GOD pour out many special Blessings to each of YOU'LL

WE MADE IT THROUGH ANOTHER WEEK!!
We made it through another week, where Judy has had an up and down week. She is continuing to gain more and more strength each passing day and wanting to try to do more around the motorhome. Over the weekend she went to the Sunday morning worship with John. We had 13 present, we also were delighted to have Kelly come and lead music with her guitar. Barbara also sang a beautiful solo for us again. In the afternoon Judy and John then walked around outside for about 15 minutes, walking 1/2 way out to the main road and back.
We may be leaving Coffeyville shortly, depending on what we find out from Judy's doctor this week. If we leave early we are going to head on out to Casa Grande and spend January at Sunscape RV Resort, with CRM Chaplains Don and La Von Baker. This is a LARGE RV park and they are averaging over 120 in worship on Sundays. Sunscape is mostly older Sno-birds and has quite a few people in the various hospitals at times.
Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm will NOT be excited to leave here, as they get to go play outside once a day. Pebbles really enjoys it, as she as found a little gray play toy (an alive one). Then there is that over 1,000 miles trip. They aren't looking forward to that.
As we are in the Thanksgiving Season The Longs On the Road are thankful:(1) to God that he has given them the opportunity to serve him in this unique way.(2) that he has given them the adequate health to accomplish what they do. (3) for all of our Family and friends, that have been so supportive of our endeavors. (4) for our fellow NOMADS that take time to volunteer at so many needed areas of the country, without them a lot of GODS work could not be accomplished. (5) for our fellow CHRISTIAN RESORT CHAPLAINS, whom serve in so many different area proclaiming CHRISTS' great redemption messages.(6) for all of those that God has favored this past year with answered prayers for medical concerns and wisdom in planning their courses of actions for the year. (7) for each other and the strength that we lend to each other. (8) that CHRIST CAME TO EARTH TO DIE for OUR SINS ,SO THAT WE MAY HAVE EVER LASTING LIFE with OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. (9) for all of you that have chosen to be a part of our ministries by participating with either your prayers; encouragement by letters and e-mails or phone calls; or those that have seen the need to provide the financial resources that have allowed us this great opportunity to represent CHRIST.
May God Blessing go out to you all at this time of year.
and remember that we owe each of you a huge hug next we see you.

WEEK 7- COFFEYVILLE, KS.
This week has finally slowed down, for various reasons, but the main one is that Judy was released from the Jane Phillips Medical Center late on Tuesday afternoon. THANK YOU JESUS!! While in Bartlesville, we went to Wal-Mart supercenter to secure the new Medications the Doctors, sent home for her. We also gathered up a few of the essentials that needed to be restocked.
Took Litl Red and topped off her tank, since gasoline is around $.40 a gallon cheaper than in Coffeyville.
Wednesday the intake case worker for home health care came out and set Judy up for visits from an Occupational Therapists, a Physical Therapists, and a home health nurse to monitor her vitals. Each of them are probably coming out 2 days a week. Judy has an appointment on Nov.30Th with Dr. Kirkpatrick, in Bartlesville. If it goes has well as anticipated the trip to Oklahoma City shouldn't be needed. THANK YOU JESUS!!
My week was mainly doing things in the Endeavor, and outside sorted of getting it ready for colder weather. I also made sure that the Workampers had their mail and paychecks on Mon,Wed, Thurs, 2p.m.-6p.m. and then on Friday from 9a.m.-6 p.m.
I worked on my lesson for Sunday Morning; Philippians 4:2-9
Sunday Service was rather slim; 9 (probably because a lot of the workampers are on OT up to 55-60 hrs a week (and these folks are retired Seniors). Also the lower attendance may have been affective by the continuing rain from late Saturday and through Sunday morning. At least it wasn't SNOW Also workers are starting to leave for various reasons, burnout; to hard for them, especially with the mandatory OT; some for health issues; some for better winter assignments;and some to escape the colder weather threat.
This week John's cousin Grace Long Harris lost her husband Daniel, to cancer. Our good friend from Vining, Ia., Cheryl Cibula, lost her brother. We are praying for these families and their lost one.
Our jell-o schedule has already taken a jiggle, we are NOT heading to Galveston, TX. for the revolving team project, in January. Thinking that Judy would still need more recuperating time. So we are headed on out to Sunscape RV Resort in Casa Grande, Az. during January where we will team up with Don and La Von Baker,
and take in more pointers on the chaplaincy. We will be there from around the 4th of Jan til the 3rd of Feb. Then resume our stated jell-0 schedule. With the slight change of returning to Sunscape as often as possible, to assist the Bakers'
This week Express Pro is expecting another 35 -70 Workampers arriving to start next Sunday. So we will be greeting those that arrive here in Coffeyville.
Again we are truly blessed with great friends and family, to which we are thankful to God for them. We also would like to thank all of those that have been praying for us (ESPECIALLY DURING JUDY'S HOSPITAL STAYS) We want to say thanks to those who have been so gracious with their calls of concern and encouragement, emails and notes along with special mentions in their respected social network medias.
We really thank God for those that have chosen to be a special part of our ministries by becoming financially involved, as with out this participation we could NOT be as effective out here on the road ministering to the RV community or taking part in NOMAD projects.
I promise to try to get some new pictures incorporated into the next blog, so that you all can get a feel for our work here in Coffeyville. UNTIL Then
May GOD Blessings be upon you all

WONDERFUL JUDY NEWS!!!!!!
As some of you may not know, Judy has been spending her days and nights as a guest at Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville,OK. We thought she might have been able to return to the Endeavor on Wednesday or Thursday of this past week, after her successful procedure to repair the collapsed bile duct. Well she has a slight set back, as pneumonia set in on Wednesday. The Dr.immediately started her on antibiotic.
She was really feeling good on Saturday. Her coloring was returning to almost normal, just a slight jaundice color in the eyeballs. Her strength was verily good. But best of all she was in a cheerful mood ( possibly because she had received some cards and calls from some of our friends and she had 3 visitors BESIDES ME.)
The Doctor on Saturday afternoon told that if she was still looking and feeling as good on Monday, there is a good possibility of her returning to the Endeavor then. ( Bamm-Bamm and Pebbles can hardly wait, they will
return to getting their mama TLC)
As far as the CRM ministry for the past week; John distributed the mail Mon.,Weds., and Thurs. 2p.m.until 6p.m. On Friday mail and payroll was distributed from 9a.m. until 6p.m. (with Marshall Sizemore filling in from 1p.m. until 5p.m.{THANK YOU Marshall})
Amazon.com started another 45-50 workampers this week which meant that John was busy meeting and greeting them as they arrived. Assisting them with information about the area to make their stay more pleasant.
Then there was the official greeting and shift assignments meeting on Saturday at 5p.m. which found John assisting Mark and Kym Kays in the meeting and being there so the new folks could again hear that he was available for their needs as well as the person to go to for there mail and paychecks.
Chris Kilpatrick, Chairman of the Board for CHRISTIAN RESORT MINISTRIES Intl, came to Coffeyville on Saturday. He wanted to see how Judy was doing and also to get a better understanding of the work here for Amazonians. He said that he was well pleased with what he saw.
Sunday Morning worship hour had 15 present to hear Chris present the CRM message and the Worship moment.
AGAIN JUDY AND I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU FOR THE MANY PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS WHILE SHE HAS BEEN HOSPITALISED .
We know that we couldn't begin to continue our Ministries without the great support of our friends and family through prayers, cards and e-mails of support and encouragement, and especially for the financial support that allows us the freedom to accomplish great things for Gods Kingdom. BLESS EACH OF YOU.
May God continue to guide and bless
AND PLEASE take this HUG and pass it on to others.

C.R.M. CHAPLAINS REPORT FOR COFFEYVILLE,KS.
This past week was somewhat busy, with Judy being on "vacation"-to Bartlesville.
Not only did I have to ready the Bible study (Philippians chapter 3 this week) for Sunday Morning Worship, I also had to select the songs (find the right CD then find words and copy them off). We had 12 in attendance on this Sunday.
One of the workampers was in the hospital, here in Coffeyville , but was able to return to his RV by Thursday,,THANK YOU JESUS.
Judy had her procedure done on Tuesday, all went as planned. THANK YOU JESUS
A senior couple are getting married, I am to lead them in their vows,,but there is a slight detour,, The groom is in the hospital in Tulsa, Ok was down there last week to pray with him.
Finished up on taking care of the funeral arrangements for the Workamper who had passed away earlier. The sale of his personal effects and Motorhome covered all of the expenses. THANK YOU JESUS
Greeted new Workamper as they arrived , helped them with the in's and out's of getting around in Coffeyville. The 5 campground areas here in Coffeyville are almost maxed out, only about a total of 5 spots available for the 50+ units arriving during the next month.
Judy was just on the phone and said that her fluid retention has decreased some, but the Dr had her feet elevated while she is in bed and ordered meds to help it disappear..Yesterday's level, that we are watching close, was 5.2 Doctor wants it below 3, before she can get back to the Endeavor.
WE JUST WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR ALL THE PRAYERS, CARDS, E-MAILS, AND PHONE CALLS OF MORAL SUPPORT.
Also we want to thank those who support our ministry out here on road with their Prayers, calls, notes of encouragement, and the monetary help in sustaining our ministries. THANK YOU JESUS for these special friends of ours, with out them we couldn't possibly be where you want us to serve you and your people. Amen!
Until the next post we want you all to have GODS continued Blessings, on each of you.
And we hope that you all are keeping track of all the MANY HUGS we owe each one of you,
Blessings

MONDAY HOSPITAL REPORT
Just a quick update on Judy; As you know it was her high level ( 17.4) of Beryllium (the fluids in the bile duct secreted by the pancreas ) that had her go to the hospital in the 1st place.
She had a scope used on Tuesday to place a stint in her Bile duct to keep it from re-collapsing and to help drain the beryllium and get that level down. Wednesday it was still at 15.8, Thursday was 13.9. Saturday was 10.8 and today was 7.1 with the downward movement of this level they are thinking she may get to come home either Wednesday or Thursday and the trip to University Hospital in Oklahoma City won't have to happen.. THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!

JUDY'S DOCTOR REPORT FOR THURS.
We met with the Dr(Hospitalist) he said that the preliminary reports on the biopsies was looking good. This morning biliary readings were still alarming high.. should be around 4.2, when Judy 1st entered the hospital in Coffeyville, the reading was 17.5. The Drs. thought with the procedure done (the placing of the stint to allow for drainage and to keep the bile duct from re-collapsing) this would allow those numbers down to around 10 by today or hopefully lower.
Judy had 2 visitors last night, Connie J ( Judy's long time friend lives in Claremore,Ok and came over to visit was there about 90 mins. Then our new friend Russ Bartlett, a Workamper from Texas, that worked at Adventureland in Iowa and now is in Cofferyville brought John down to visit, we were there about 45 mins. Thank you both for taking the time to come by. Judy also is getting E-mails @ jw_long2002@yahoo.com
and has her cell phone there 319-521-4458.
The Workamper that had surgery on Saturday is home and doing great. He thanks everyone for their prayers.
John has arranged for assistance for Friday at the Endeavor for the weekly payroll distribution and mail call. He will then be able to spend the afternoon here at JPMC...
It sounds like that Judy will be staying here at JPMC at least until the biliary number gets down below 7.
She still may need a further procedure done that would require a trip to Oklahoma City overnight.
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN for all the prayers, calls, letters, cards, e-mails, and well wishes.
Blessings The Longs-ontheroad(with a slight detour): Judy and John

GOOD NEWS PROCDURE OVER!!
Judy's Dr. said that the procedure went according to plan. They found exactly what they expected. While in there they placed a stint in the bile duct so it wouldn't collapse again. They also took biopsy of both the pancreas and liver.. before the stint was put in place the scraped the area so the infection would be cleaned up. If she is able to keep solid food down, she should be able to return to the Endeavor and her cats.
THANK YOU JESUS AND THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR MANY WONDERFUL PRAYERS.

HOSPITAL REPORT
Judy and I met with her new Dr. this afternoon. He said that the problem lies in her Bile duct. It seams that it had a blockage similar to a gall stone of built up calcium that had become infected, causing her liver and pancreas to fight the infection, thus sending high warning levels. The Dr. started her in antibiotics to decrease the infection so that they may insert a scope to go down and check the area and see if there is any damage. While there they are going to take a biopsy of both the liver and the pancreas to make sure there isn't any cancer present. THANK YOU JESUS!!
This as been an interesting week for John, remember last week one of the Workampers was found dead in his camper. (it was natural causes). John has been assisting the friend here to make the arrangements to get the proper matters taken care of.( his family didn't want to take responsibility). She decided that she would hold an estate(yard) sale to dispose of his personal effects(tools, clothing, fishing gear, TVs, dishes, pot and pans, etc.) to help defray the expenses of the funeral home expenses. THEY Made enough to do so THANK YOU JESUS
On Friday evening, while here at the JPMC, John received a call from one of the incoming Workampers that her husband had just went into the hospital with an infected cut on his toe(received at his previous work site and he is a diabetic ). He had a very successful surgery,to remove the toe, on Saturday morning. John has made 2 hospital visits with this family. THANK YOU JESUS
This morning, John had 21 present for the morning worship experience. THANK YOU JESUS. John also included a time for a brief memorial time for Tom Studer, the gentleman who had passed away last week. Tom had worked at Adventureland also this past summer, before coming to Coffeyville.
John also has been counseling the couple that has asked John to perform their wedding vows on Nov.8Th. Please pray for all concerned.
Express started around 55 new workers this week, as they arrived into the camp grounds John tried to greet each one and give them the community info that would make them adjust to Coffeyville quicker, and invited them to the Sunday Worship experience. He also left his phone number so that he could be reached at any time if he could be of assistance in any manner.
THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL OF THE PRAYERS FOR JUDY THIS WEEK !!!
We want to thank all of you, who make our ministry possible by your continued support of Prayers, Calls, E-mails, comments on our blog, letters, and especially the financial support with out each of these our ministry just would not be as effective. THANK YOU JESUS for each one!!!
May God continue to Bless you all
and you all feel our hugs and prayers for you

MISSING OUR MAMA
This is your traveling cats reporting from the Endeavor; We were wondering why Mom (Judy) hasn't been around since Tuesday afternoon. Dad (John) has been in and out more then usual. We were thinking something was amiss! Finally last night, we heard dad on the Phone talking to Terri Jo, He said something about mom being in a special building called a hospital (Coffeyville Regional Hospital) room 260. He told Terri, that she is having problems with her liver(no we can't eat that, it belongs to mom).Mom will be there in room 260 at least until Saturday.
Dad is doing OK, keeping up with the CRM Chaplain duties here at River Crest campground and all the other campgrounds where the Amazon.com Workampers are staying.
If Dad doesn't post anything soon , we will get back on Sat. while he is super busy(please pray for him that day)
The folks would say here" you all have a blessed day" and special hug from them and a

THE ANSWER TO WHY AN RV CHAPLAIN NEEDED
Last week went along pretty routinely, Monday was a holiday so no mail,,, so we did laundry and visited with Workampers at the laundromat. We ran into several couples there and had the opportunity to visit with them about how they were adjusting. Had good responses.Tuesday we did mail. Wednesday mail. Thursday mail. Friday was a longer day of mail plus paychecks.
So Saturday, just as we were getting ready to leave, Pat Carter stopped by to see what we were doing. We had planned to see some regional sites and enjoy a picnic lunch, so invited her to come along......my what fun. We first went out West of town to the Little House on the Prairie, home site.
Here Pat and Judy are going into the replica of the Ingles log cabin near Independence, Ks.
We then went into Independence and found a park to have our lunch.
After lunch we traveled Highway 160 East over to Carthege,Mo to visit the Precious Moments Chapel and Museum. If in your travels through Missouri go on U.S. 71 South of Kansas City and stop for an hour or two at least,---a guaranteed winner.
This is the welcoming fountains in front of the Precious moments complexThis is the entrance to the memorial chapel,, where Samuel J. Butcher, has personally painted his famous Precious Moments characters in Biblical scenes.
While we were there John received a cell call that one of the Workampers, back in Coffeyville, had just been found dead in his RV. So we headed back.
Upon arrival, we found the police, undertaker, and a group of Workampers gathered.
John went over to see how he could assist. The gentleman lived alone, he had also worked at Adventureland this past summer. John had known him there and visited throughout the summer, which helped fill in some of the gaps on how to reach the family.
On Sunday we had a 10% increase in attendance over last week--- today 9 present.
After lunch we saw the lady friend of the deceased going through the RV( a class c unit)
We stopped to see if we could assist. She stated that the family had contacted the local authorities and said to let her handle the details of the arrangements to have the body cremated and the disposal of the personal effects. She asked John to assisted her in making the arrangements and to go on Monday to find assistance in the expenses of the death.
While traveling to the Social Security office John discussed the possibility of maybe making some kind of arrangement so another workamper family, crowded into a very small tag-a-long camper with a tarp lean-to and a 4 man tent, may get the use of his class c (since it wasn't worth very much and in bad repair) at least it would allow the ones in the tent to get somewhere out of the elements, and to sleep on real beds. (for the 1st time in at least 4 months.) She thought that was an excellent idea and when the family of 9 heard the idea they were very excited... The Dad said that we had made their day, in fact had made their week, no had made their month. They will be able to move it to their space by end of week.. Please pray that all goes well with this idea. Also pray for the family of the deceased, that there may be some come together there at the Memorial service in Oregon latter.
Judy went to the Dr. today, she is under the weather, no energy, think maybe related to her liver. Please pray for the Doctors wisdom in analyzing this and finding a remedy.
John also has been contacted about performing the wedding vows for an older Workamper couple in Nov Please Pray that all the planning and needed permissions are granted. Also that John is given the proper words to say.
There will be another 45-65 people coming in this week, to start work on Sunday. Please pray that there will be enough hook-up sites available and that they all have safe traveling mercies as they arrive.
We also ask that we continue to pray for our dear friend and fellow CRM Chaplain Lavon Baker as she continues to recover from her illness of this past week.
We again want to say a big thank-you to all of our "partners" in our Ministries. As you can see that it is important for us to be out here on the road. It is your prayers, moral support, prayer support and especially the financial support that allows us to keep on doing all the little things that make our ministry vital. THANK YOU JESUS for each one.
God blessing to each one
and BIG Hugs from the Endeavor crew: the Longs on the road for Christ: John and Judy.

ENDEAVOR REPORTING IN , COFFEYVILLE UPDATE
We ARE NOT floating away yet here in River Crest campground because having close to a total of 7 inches of rain this past week. Thank You Jesus for allowing us to have good days to dry things up.
We had this weeks welcome meeting and badge pass-out last night, Express is starting another 45 -60 bodies. We greeted each RV unit as they arrived, and gave them the information on where things were at in town and the surrounding area. We also answered any of their questions and reassured them that they would be fine and that we would be available at ALL times to help with ANY of their needs. Thank You Jesus for allowing all the new units this week to arrive safely!!
John awoke (well the best awake that he gets) early Saturday Morning and drove over to Southwest Baptist University for Homecoming 2009 festivities. Thank You Dr. and Mrs Larry Jackson for the pleasant visit and the fantastic lunch at that new Bar-B-Que place. Thank You Jesus for the safe travel through the early morning fog.
Sunday Morning CRM Services found things a little slim again this week only 8 present to share in the worship experience THANK YOU Chris Smith for playing the keyboard and selecting this mornings songs. Again John is presenting a study of Philippians today verses were Chapter1:12-26. John also shared a time when he felt like Paul with chains in his life's circumstances, and continued to have faith. Thank You LORD for the lesson and guidance today.
We have many things to pray for this week:
1) Please pray for the CRM Chaplains who are traveling to their winter assignments.
2) Pray that they can have an effective ministry this season.
3) Please pray for our presence here at Coffeyville, that we would be who and what we should be.
4) Continue to remember our Countries leaders that wisdom will prevail to bring our country back to normal. Also that they make wise decision for the conflicts.
5) Judy's son Rich, as he has returned to Iowa's Mental Health Institute, at Independence.
6) Remember Judy and her health needs and that she continues to have MORE better days than bad ones.
7) Please pray for the Staff and the Kays at Express Pro, as they work to make all the adjustments for the staffing needs at Amazon.com and that they are able to find all of the bodies they need to fulfill their contract.
8) John's daughter Samantha as she recovers from having 4 wisdom teeth removed than spent this week with flu symptoms.
9) Please pray for milder weather here in Coffeyville, so that all of us can cut our costs to stay.
10) Please pray to see how you may be able to be one of our Ministries Partners
THANK YOU JESUS for all of those that support us with their prayers, letters and E-mails, and financial support.
May GOD continue to Bless and Guide each of you !!!
and please feel our HUGS until you can receive one in person.

ENDEAVOR REPORTING IN , COFFEYVILLE
Just a brief update for the past week; many of our fellow Adventurelanders made it into Coffeyville, for their up coming start date at Amazon.com. The campgrounds are filling up quickly.
We spent the past week getting things done around the Endeavor, like getting a small deck constructed to help keep out the dirt and mud. We also had the furnace removed and taken to BELL RV SALES AND SERVICE, in Bartlesville,Ok. They went through it and found no apparent reason for the failure to stay lit. NO CHARGE for 2 hours of shop time. THANK YOU JESUS . While in Bartlesville, we got our laundry done, and groceries at Aldi's.
As the Workampers arrived John greeted each unit and offered information that they needed to get around Coffeyville. Such as where is the Post Office (where they sign up for General Delivery and ask to be added to the Amazon pick-up, John then brings it back to the Endeavor and Judy passes it out to them) propane: 2 places are available
but no one delivers and Motorhomes must either have a extend a stay tank or go get propane, they can go to either the COOP or Performance Motorsports. He also gives specific directions to Amazon, Expresses Pro ,Walmart, and laundry. Also that vehicle fuel is cheaper just a few miles in South Coffeyville, Ok.
He also has provided information as to where the library is and various restaurants or fast food places.
Judy has had another up and down week, she needs to keep her activity to a minimum so she is able to hold up all day.
Friday was the 1st day for Payroll Check disbursement 9 am - 8 pm,,,,( we are changing our "open" hours ). Our days are now Mon,Wed, and Thurs 2pm -6pm and Fridays 9am-6pm.
On Saturday we awoke early and traveled over to Branson and spent part of the day with some of the CHRISTIAN RESORTS MINISTRIES Chaplains . (please pray that Gods plan for our future opportunities are HIS)
Sunday Morning Chapel service had 8 attendees, down from last week, please pray that more will feel the need for a brief message and fellowship with other Christians honoring the Lords Day. Today John shared thoughts from Phillipians 1:1-11
AGAIN we want to thank everyone who has partnered with us in our ministries with financial support, prayer support, or the e-mails and letters.
May God continue to bless each one
and feel our hugs until we reunite.

SUNDAY BLESSING !!!!!!
We finally got away from Adventureland a week ago Friday. I see where the cats filled you all in on our trip down. We do want to thank Chris Brain of Brain Freeze RV refrigeration, for the extra effort he went through to help get us going sooner.Thank You Jesus! We also want to give a shout out to Butch from the Happy Camper RV sales and service in Holt, Mo. for making the adjustment for switching the refrig from electric to gas work right and the price was right also----FREE, Thank You Jesus!!
The rest of the trip was uneventful, arriving here at Camp Crest Gampgrounds just East of Walter Johnson Park, lot 101. We met with Mark and Kym Kays of Express Pro ( the temp sdervice for Amazon's Workampers. We ironed out all of the details of our assignment duties here until Dec. 23rd. Judy will be passing out mail to those that want us to pick up there general delivery mail on MWF and then passing out payroll checks on Fridays.
We will be observing the LORDS DAY at 10:00 A.M. each Sunday. Express Pro. is picking up the rental of the Recreation Center, here at Walter Johnson, for our services.
This Morning we had 13 attendees plus us. The Lord provided us a special Blessing by sending Wes and Sharon Richards our way, to provide special music.Thank You Jesus! Wes then volunteered to present a mini Country/ Gospel concert tonight at 7P.M. word spread out and around 30-35 was treated to a fantastic time of great music. ( Wes and Sharon was just passing through and was camping just for the week-end, and in visiting with them and explaining what we were doing , Wes volunteered to sing .)
The Adventureland family is in sorrow this weekend, as we lost a Sister in Christ, as Joan (the HR assistant) lost her battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord. Please remember her husband Ted, sister Jan and her husband Gaylord in your prayers.
Please pray for our fellow CRM Chaplains as they are traveling to Branson for Nova Training in the coming days.
Pray for CRM Chaplains Don and La Von Baker, as they begin their winter assignment at Sunscape RV in Casa Grande, Az.
Pray for as we go about our Ministry of providing needs here in Kansas.
Pray for our families in Iowa, who will miss us much this winter.
Pray for Country's leaders and our dedicated service personnel .
We want to thank each of you that support us in our Ministries with Prayers, Phone Calls or E-mails, and especially financial support, because with out all of the above we could not be effective as we are.
May God continue to Bless each one.
and please feel our special Hugs until you can actually get one,

WHERE IS DOROTHY ?
This is your ON THE ROAD reporting Cats:
Mom and Dad are over across the drive, here in Walter Johnson Park (Rivercrest campground portion), there is a ton of people there (around 65) cooking some of the best smelling vitals. These are the folks working at Amazon.com during the Holiday blitz season.
On Friday night we stopped at Holt, Mo at the J&J campground if you remember, we forgot to give our rating------- They received 4 paws rating out of 5
would of been 5 if we could of had some outside freedoms . We left there around 9 a.m. and stopped up at the main intersection of I-35 exit 33. at Boyds Happy Camper RV sales and service. Where this nice man (BUTCH) came out and made some minor adjustments to the burner in the Refrigerator, which solved the problem of the refrig from not switching from electric to propane. ALL at NO Charge.
We traveled on through Kansas City, Mo. which caused a few hairs to raise. Pebbles got so scared that she ducked under the covers on the bed. Me I just stayed under the couch the WHOLE trip.
We arrived in Cofferville, Ks. around 3 p.m. Dad had the Endeavor parked in site 101 and all set-up connections done by 3:45 p.m.
We are hopping that we can get our outdoor playtime.
Gotta scoot out of here as Pebbles see people moving this way....
bye the way there is this big black and gray dog across the drive who would love to play with 2 kittys------NOT IN THIS LIFETIME lol
Til next time we get to place paws on these keys may GOD Bless each one.

ESCAPED---FINALLY
Well Dad left the computer out and on, while he was setting up the Endeavor,in Holt, Mo. (exit 33 on I-35 , J&J Campground) We thought we would let everyone know that we (The Traveling Cats- Bamm-Bamm and Pebbles) have finally escaped from Adventureland along with Mom and Dad. Boy was that ever a long stay for us. We hardly got to roam free. Although Pebbles sneaked out on Tuesday evening and brought back a baby rabbit, to play with. Me, Dad was very unhappy with cause I followed her out and stayed out til 4 a.m., with Dad waiting for me. Now I am in the DOG HOUSE.
Mom says the refrigerator is working fine except that it will not switch over to propane from electricity,,, so dad ran the generator all the way here.
We may get into Coffeyville on Friday if the extra Frig repairs can be done quickly.
Pebbles and I have been wanting to let you all know that we had a great summer in Iowa and appreciated having all the company-NOT. We thought that the stay would never end \,, we can't wait to get back to NOMAD projects so that we may get some OUTDOOR privileges.
We are adapting pretty good to this new lifestyle as Dad and Mom make sure we get our fair share of treats for being Good Kitties.
I think we better get off of here, as Pebbles is on watch for dad, she says she can't hear him messing with all those gadgets under this house on wheels, so he must be on his way in... and if I know what is good for me,I better say
MEOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW and GOD BLESS EVERYONE

NEWS UPDATE
We are posting this as a request for your prayers and thoughts as once again it was approaching leaving time and a setback has hit!
We were to leave this afternoon (09/09/09) after the Ladies retreat, BUT when we arrived home on Saturday night, we found a malfunctioning refrigerator, no service available until Tuesday because of the Labor Day holiday. The repairman met us after we returned from Andy's in Iowa City on Tuesday. He already had diagnosed the problem, and removed the doors from the refrig and all connections, so that he could take the whole unit into the shop. As it had a hole in the cooling coils and the circuit board was fried. Estimated repair cost approaching $2,000.00 and estimated repair time 3 to 4 days.
Judy s vision is about the same as last week, but the U of I Drs. say it should clear on it's own with-in 10 days to 2 weeks. Her pain as been manageable the last 5 to 6 weeks, praise God.
John tour of duty as Adventureland Campground overnight security guard as come to and end for this season and he as been invited back next year in the same capacity.
Please pray for the CHRISTIAN RESORTS MINISTRIES, Intl. Board has they meet in Branson the next 3 days.
Please pray for the NOMADS selection committee as they make the Winter assignments for the many, many requests for services.
Please pray for our fellow Adventureland workampers as they are headed to their various off-season destinations.
Please pray for our safe travels as we travel to Coffeyville, Ks. to begin our CRM Chaplains ministry assignment to the workampers (appox. 400 ) at AMAZON.COM on the 15th of Sept. Please pray for us daily as we serve there until Dec. 23rd.
Pray for our families as we leave Iowa and away from them, until we return in the spring.
Thanks for listening and Praying for us and our concerns.
Gods Blessings and Hugs from The Long's: Judy and John

OUR ADVENTURELAND SUMMER part 3
This morning we are sharing how our cameras saw Adventureland in Altoona, Ia; just off of I-80 outside of Des Moines, Iowa.
One of the 1st rides one finds upon entering the A-land gates is the A-Train plus station pictured here.
Here Judy is getting ready to broad the A-Train.
The A-Train pulling into the station .
This was Judy's favorite ride
The Space shot.
John's is the Underground, in the picture below is our friend and co -worker Pat Carter on the left of Judy.
The Big Wheel is one of the busiest rides
The Tornado is the largest roller coaster,
here it is approaching the top of Hill 1
The Outlaw is a wooden roller coaster, down in the GULCH, this is coming down the 1st drop.
The Dragon is a metal roller coaster with a double loop and figure 8 curve.
The Sidewinder is also one of the rides with the longest lines.
Two of the Kiddie rides are the Red Barren to the left and the Truck Convoy below .
The Frenzy Freeway (bumber cars) was enjoyed by both of us.
There are more than 100 rides and shows at ADVENTURELAND including a circus. we really, really was impressed with Ben Urlin, the Magician. who performed in the Sheriff Sam's Saloon.
There are numerous eating areas such as
Petunia Pig, where one can get peanuts, popcorn, lemonade and pickles on a stick.
Below is a view of campground right next to Adventureland, the Endeavor, is just to the right and 2 rows up from the comfort station, with the red roof in the foreground.
This was taken from the BIG WHEEL
Next post will be when Nathan and Davi visited in July. wirh pictures of Blank Park Zoo.
May God continue to Bless each of you
and THANK YOU to each of you who support our Ministries with your Prayers; calls and letters; and financial support
