Yes we finally have a connection with the rest of the folks in computer world. We still have a few snags to work out in figuring out how to operate this thing as Dell sent the replacement machine in Vista instead of XP and believe me it has it own quirks. Another reason for the slow getting things done is we have taken on another Workamper assignment in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia , at MISTY MOUNTAIN CAMP RESORT, Greenwood, Va ( just 2 hrs outside of Washington D.C. ) ( and about 75 mins away from the Nascar Track in Richmond,Va.) . We brought my 2 boys ( Nathan and Davi ) with us to Va from Iowa. We spent 2 nights in transient at 2 very nice and in expensive campgrounds, 1 in Indiana just west Indianapolis about 35 mins,SUGAR CREEK CAMPGROUNDS , we would highly recommend this one to anyone interested in camping near the BRICKYARD. Then we spent next evening at the OUTPOST CAMPGROUND near Morehead, Ky.
Coming over the hills of Ky. and into the Mountains of West Va. was a beautiful experience. ( the training I got from our earlier travels through the Ozarks, paid off)
Here at Misty Mountain Judy is cleaning Cabins ( there are 12 available for rent are VERY VERY NICE), she also has restrooms (3 sets) and showers to attend to. I help her for a few hours each morning as there are some that have steep steps to climb into the loft bedrooms, and help her in the restrooms/ showers. I work the Office desk/ camp store then on Wednesday and Thursdays Noon til 8 p.m.
The repairs we done while in Iowa to the 5er seams to have helped. Also THANK YOU JOHNSON MOTORS of Belle Plaine for getting the RAM in great shape for the trek up the Mountains. We averaged 11 mpg towing the 5er and when we took the Boys back to Louisville, Ky last weekend we got 22.2 mpg non-towing . The cats are really adapting to living here,, they are more interested in what we are doing when we are home.. their "vacation " away from us must of made them realized how spoiled they are. LOL. REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN CONTACT US AT jw_long2002@yahoo.com or by phone at 319-521-4458. well add more pictures this week. While the boys were here we went to D.C. one day and took the train into the city.. (more on that later) NITE ALL
