ADVENTURELAND READY TO GO

GREETINGS FROM THE ENDEAVOR:

We have been busy the last few weeks since arriving at Altoona. Last Wednesday we had a Workamper potluck, with plenty of yummy vitals available. Then on Friday we went over to Oelwein to have lunch with Rich, before our busy season here at Adventureland kicks into high gear this weekend.

On our way back, we stopped at Pella, Ia, for their annual Tulip festival. We arrived just right before a serious rain storm, and us with out rain gear. If you are ever in IOWA during the 2ND week-end in May we highly adding this to your schedule of things too see. They had thousands of tulips everywhere. Even John was impressed. There is a working windmill there, and lots of dutch style shops and museums, including 'Dutch Letters'.

Earlier in the week we spent a few hours at THE IOWA HISTORICAL BUILDING

Right now there is some old planes hanging on the main level. Also a display on the different potteries that were in the various counties.

The previous Friday found us over in Belle Plaine, at Christ United Methodist Church, volunteering to paint the Pastors office, getting ready for the arrival of their new Pastor on June 1. The window to the right of the doorway is the office window.

We ask that you all visit the new revised Christian Resorts Ministries web site and see that we are officially Chaplains now with our own listing there.
Our account code is 001016 if you wish to be a part of our ministries this summer and fall by helping support us, this will be greatly appreciated and used wisely. Also by going this route you will receive tax benefits.

We also have other ways you may support us. One is by encouraging us with your blog comments, e-mails, notes, and phone calls. Judy really likes to hear from our friends and loved ones.

Another way to have a part in our ministry is by joining us as prayer partners.
We have may items that need prayer.
a) Please be praying for John as he leads out in small groups and bible studies here in the camp ground and help Jack Gregory in visitations.

b)Pray for John also that he can be a blessing to the guest at Adventureland.

c) Pray for Judy's health. She has been having fairly good days the past few,

d) We have heard from our dear friends, John and Ruth Christison, they have an old high school friend who husband was injured on the job and has severe head injury, Matt Parrot is in Iowa City U. hospital and his wife Susan is with child and due soon. They also have 2 other children at home.

e) Pray for our Countries Leaders and Service personnel.

f) We are thankful for sparing of harm for our fellow chaplains Don and LaVon Baker as severe storms went on either side of them this week in Ok, also for their safe travels so far this summer.

g) Please be praying all summer for the many NOMADS who will be traveling into Cedar Rapids to help out on the revolving team project from last years flooding. Also pray for the the rest of the NOMADS as they begin this period for safety and safe travels,

AND pray for one another that the LORD may use each of you in a special way also.
