WEEK-1 PICAYUNE, MS

WOW!!!!!! We just finished a wonderful week of work with the YOUTH OF PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, ORLANDO, FLA. (24 youth and 7 leaders). This kids came to work, and boy did they ever. They left here with 5 families finally back to normal living in their dwellings. ( If there ever will be any thing normal , for them) These Kids primed, painted inside and out after repairing damaged wood areas. Installed laminated flooring for 3 dwellings,,, cleaned up yard debris,, installed kitchen counter tops,, laid down ceramic tile,,repaired damaged paneling,,,,put inlaid paneling around a staircase landing. We just wish that more groups could come as we are still assessing clients problems ,,, but we just don't have the volunteers too help get the work !!!! please be praying that God may lay it the hearts of others to come to this area to assist. Judy did a great job of keeping food and cooking supplies in store for the kids to cook and eat... while John was going around from job site too job site taking requested supplies and fresh ice cold bottled water for the kids. Also became on first name basis with a lot of the staff of local HOME DEPOT
