WE HAVE SURVIVED-this horrible IOWA weather

Greetings to all :

This has been a very interesting week for us. We really did get a lot accomplished as Judy had her teeth checked and cleaned (good news , no other work was needed!!) Judy also got down to Iowa City U. of I. hospitals to have eyes checked, she got a new prescription for new glasses and was also told that she has cataracts forming and they will be rechecked in May, when we are back in Iowa.

We have seen all the immediate family and have decided that our blood is not thick enough for this cold weather... so we are heading south, as soon as we are cleared by our Dr. in Marengo on Wednesday. We will just have early Christmas with the kids and then save them a bunch of time over the summer.

We ask that you all pray for the Hinschberger family with the lost of Terri Jo's grandfather, service are Wednesday the 5th. also pray for good traveling weather as we travel back to Texas.

WE ARE TERRIBLY SORRY WE WEREN'T ABLE TO GET AROUND TO VISIT AND SEE EACH OF YOU!!! we owe you an extra hug when we catch you this summer. We will be returning to the Des Moines area around the 21st of April, as John will be working for ADVENTURELAND PARK through the end of SEPT.

May GODS BLESSING be given to each of you and THE LONGS on the road are wishing each of you MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR
