SHARING

Hola from the ENDEAVOR :

We arrived here at CAMP THICKET near Weslaco, Tx.,just 5 miles from the border, around 2 p.m. The Mitchells were all ready here. What we have seen is gorgeous, can't wait to take some pictures to share.

We awoke Thursday morning to fair skies, so we broke camp at the RL Ranch. Stopped at the RED BARN and took on a full load of propane (we had ran out.) Then we stopped at JOEL WESTS' RV repair and settled up our repair bill for the work which was finished Wednesday afternoon. PRAISE THE LORD then we took the Endeavor to the inspection shop,, she passed. Then to Wal-Mart to get the rest of Judy's Meds. only was able to get 10 pain pills so please pray that the mail order Meds get here SOON Then we took on a full load of gas at $1.67 per gal. Went back to Rainbows End, to get Litl Red, loaded on its tow dolly, and hitch behind the Endeavor and off we were. Passing bye some of the buildings of Rainbows End.
This the Westside Laundry Room just across from the Activity Building,,

down the road past the mailbox is the National Headquarters Building of Escapees RV club, along with the mail forwarding room (where our mail arrives and than sent on to where ever we are, once a week) across from there is the club house where we enjoy playing cards 3 nights a week along with movies.

Continuing out towards the highway one passes the CARE CENTER
Where one can get help with their daily lives right in their own RV, parked around the main building
the staff and/or volunteers come in and clean your rv once every 2 weeks, you get 3 meals a day, laundry once a week and even dump your holding tanks (sewer) and change your propane tanks if you are unable,

We then drove right through the heart of Houston.Passing past Minute Miad Park, the home of the Houston Astros. We were just ahead of peak afternoon rush hour Another THANK YOU JESUS. We then traveled another 90 miles and found "CAMP WALLY WORLD" at Victoria, Tx. for the night. We then drove over and down Gulf Coast through Fulton, Aransas Pass, and Corpus Christi. Then decided to come on down to our "HOME GROUNDS" for the next 6 weeks.

Received an E-mail from Kathy Webb, she is home, but needs a lot of TLC and recuperation so continue praying for her.

Also Rich, Judys son, continues to be adjusting to his new inviroment, please continue praying that this is a good fit for him.

Please pray for CHUCK, he was one of the single guys going through the Chaplains training with us. He and a couple others are trying to develop a ministry to persons with addictions (he is recovering addict, himself and full of the HOLY SPIRIT) Praise God

Please pray for our country leaders and servicemen SO BE IT GOD

Please pray for the CHRISTIAN RESORT MINISTRIES services this weekend including the Womens retreat here in the valley and especially Chaplain Don Baker, as again has 2 services scheduled this Sunday PRAISE THE LORD for this opportunity.

We ask again that you remember all the NOMADS that are either going to their assigned pojects or just leaving today as they travel safely, YES LORD.

Remember Judy and her pain that it will be minimal while we are doing our NOMADS projects next 9 weeks and that her Medications all arrive in a timely manner.

We ask GOD to send each of you faithful ones an abundence of Blessings along with a GREAT BIG HUG from The Longs-Judy and John along with those Traveling Cats: Bamm-Bamm and Pebbles' famous meows.

Bulletin!!!!!!!!!

Hola: (practicing my spanish for the end of the week)

Well John is about to change his name to JOB again. Awoke to the sound of water running and found the hot water heater had sprang a leak in the drain plug. While the repairman was here he also found a defective rheostat for the electric side of the water heater and had to order in the part. So our plans to be leaving on Wednesday for Corpus Christi has gotten canceled because the part may not be here til Thursday... possibly Friday, we pray not as we would really like 2 traveling days to CAMP THICKET, Weslaco,Tx.

We finished the final coat on the Weihrs kitchen cabinets and have the doors back in place.

Then Tuesday morning John installed some new breakers in the storage shed, wired up 3 outlets and placed covers on the
m.

Saturday evening found the Weihrs and the Longs traveling over to the TRIPLE CREEK RV PARK, Woodville, Tx. for their BLUEGRASS JAM NIGHT and potluck supper. We were entertained by 4 groups headlined by the PAUL DUROCHER FAMILY (Dad, Mom, and 10 kids + 2 that wasn't with them) from Cohasset, Minn. they were great.. watch them get better with more stage time, as they are only in their 2nd year of traveling and performing. The food was awesome also. program lasted 4hrs, then had to drive 40 miles home.

Sunday after church and Dinner guest of the Weihrs, at CATFISH KINGS, John and Judy drove down to Sulphur, La, almost 3 hrs. Visited with John's brother Don, had a marvelous supper and then drove home.

We had planned on leaving Wednesday morning after the Endeavor was inspected, but ICEY weather and waiting on parts the Corpus Christi side trip , again was put on hold. We hope to be in Weslaco by Saturday Noon,

Which leads me to our PRAYER CONCERNS:

Remember Our Country Leaders as they work to get the Country moving again.

Remember our gallant Service Personnel.

Remember ALL of the traveling NOMADS as they travel this week to begin Project period 2 and that their work will be an inspiration to ALL.

Please continue Praying for Chaplain Don Baker, as he struggles with preaching 2 services on Sundays in Ariz. (but praise the LORD that he has an opportunity to reach so many ears with GODS message,

Pray for Kathy Webb, she is 1/2 half of the RVING BIRDERS blog that we follow, she had to have an emergency surgery on Saturday, for what was 1st thought to be an Appendicitis attack, but when they got in there, they found something else wrong, (see their blog from the link on the side)

Pray for Judy's son Rich as he has moved into his new living enviroment. That adapts well and that he maintains good relationships with the staff and roommate,, and that his health continues to improve.

We heard that our friend and co-worker from Adventureland Bobby Williamson is doing really good and is in Mission Texas, we hope to get together with them, while we are there. please keep him in prayer as he continues to strenghten his body,

Pray that the weather will NOT be as bad for those that have too travel this week and that the motor home repairs remain manageable for us.

MAY GOD Grace and Blessing go out to each of you .\

and of course OUR HUGS to each and our thoughts of you.

The Longs-Judy and John
The Traveling cats are asleep but they are itching to get on here again

P.S. we may start taking role call each blog post and calling out names if we don't hear from some of you.

ENDEAVOR REPORTING IN !!!

Hello Friends and Family:

We arrived back here at Rainbow's End on Thursday evening around 9:30 p.m... from our AWESOME MOUNTAIN TOP EXPERIENCE at Branson during our CHRISTIAN RESORTS MINISTRIES Chaplains training.
Here our great instructor Dr, Dan Griffin is talking with Chaplain Richard McCool, Richard is the Divisional Director of Free Clinic Chaplains for CRM. Dr Dan was very knowledgeable and a great inspiration to all of us Trainees .

We had a great time of fellowship in our living quarters for the training.

Here is a few of the Trainees that were with us.

Judy sharing our blog site with Karen Gregory.

This was our classroom setting that we met in during our sessions. It was held at Covenant Bible Church in Branson, which was adjoining the

Which is operated by CRMIntl. Inside was a Chaplains office

and 2 exam rooms

Everyone who is seen in the free clinic MUST see the Chaplain on duty before leaving,

We stopped at Little Rock and visited Judy's brother Gary Auld and his wife Donna.

Then on Friday Judy and John took the doors off of The Weihrs kitchen
cabinet in preparation for priming and painting,

Judy did the lower cabinets and John did the higher ones priming.
Here Judy is priming the door facings.

Don't you agree she is getting this painting thing down pretty good!

Tomorrow after Church we are headed down to Sulpur, La. to visit John's brother Don. Then if weather permitting Wednesday we will get the Endeavor inspected and head out for CAMP THICKET near Weslaco, Tx for our NOMAD PROJECT periods 2 and 3, which means we will be down in the Rio Grande Valley, near the Mexican Border for 6 straight weeks, in ave temperature of 82 (some one has to do it). we plan on arriving there on Saturday afternoon after visiting Corpus Christi and Padre Island on our way down.

Please continue praying for the NOMADS who will be traveling again this weekend. Pray for Chaplain Don Baker, as he again will be doing 2 service at the RV park in Ariz. Pray for our country Leaders and our service men and women.

May GOD Blessing go out to each of you
and may each one feel the HUGS from the LONGS-Judy and John

SATURDAY CATCHUP

Anyone listening:

Today wound up a very exciting week for us. Our travel up here to Branson was uneventful, except we saw some beautiful scenery

We have had 2 wonderful days of instruction under the guidance of Dr. Dan Griffin, there are a total of 14 students enrolled. This is a candid shot of the classroom.

Then this week John and a few others went to Roy Rogers/Dale Evans Museum in Branson,

This is the display of their little girl that they lost, that inspired Dale's book, ANGELS UNAWARE. We also learned that they had lost another child while he was in the service.

We also saw a neat display of all of the collector items that had Roy and/or Dale on them. Along with pictures of them doing movies, tv, or live performances
.

We also saw the real (preserved) Trigger,Trigger Jr.,Buttermilk, and Bullet.

Then on Saturday CRM had a Ordination Council for our dear friend Jack Gregory, John had an opportunity to sit and witness this great event, conducted by some of GODS special servants.

We want to thank each of you that are praying for us during our stay here at Branson, that we may gather the information that we need to follow our Savior in the Ministry that he has for us too do.

Please remember those that are serving in the Arm Services,
The NOMADS as they begin week 2 of their 1st projects for 2009.
Please pray for CRM Chaplains (and good friends) Don and LaVon Baker, along with the rest of The CRM Chaplains.
Remember our family members who have problems. and thenon Thursday pray for our travels and those here in Branson as return to our home bases..

May GOD continue to Bless and Guide each of you .
and may you "feel" our HUGS

The Longs- On the road. ...Judy and John.

BUSY WEEK

Howdy you'll:

We are off on an extremely busy year, if all of the plans take shape, as the pre-planning indicates.

We got settled in on the RL ranch, located on Rainbow End (Escapees park) near Livingston, Tx. just in time to go to the New Years Eve party at the activity center. Then on Thurs., after watching the Rose Parade and IOWA HAWKEYES win in the Outback Bowl, we went back to the activity center for the "tradictional" Black-eyes Peas and Ham lunch.

On Friday we began doing some maintence work for the Whiers, like replacing the faucet in the bathroom tub, then removal and replacing the stool in the other bathroom. Then we needed a missing connector hose. Finished that stool up on Saturday afternoon, still have another stool to replace.

We had trouble getting one of Judys' prescriptions filled here in Livingston Wal-mart so had to go into Lousiana to get it filled. On the way Saturday we called Bob and Nancy Wood, Whom we had worked with at Adventureland this past summer. They are workamping at Triple Creek RV resort in Woodville, Tx (about 35 miles East of Livingston) While visiting with them, they told us about a great Bluegrass Gospel show at their campground tonight featuring THE REDHEAD EXPRESS, from Branson. Also some local groups preformed and all was VERY VERY GOOD. Ralph and Loretta went with us, as they both are music lovers and players.

We will be finishing the bathroom fixtures update, for them this week and then attempt to install a laminate floor in their bedroom. Both of them are approaching 80.So they can't manage much strenous work.

We are scheduled to take Litl Red into Livingston on Monday to get it inspected and registered. Then on Tuesday it is the ENDEAVORS turn to get inspected.

We will be leaving the RV and the cats at the RL ranch while we travel to Branson for the Chaplains Training, Jan. 14th,16th, 19th-21st. The Traveling Cats favorite Kitty-sitters(Charlie and Mary Anne Head) are here again this year and have agreed to take care of them while we are away for the training.

After the training we will be returning to Livingston, then take a day trip to see John's Brother Don, in Sulphur, La. We should arrive down at Camp Thicket,Wescalo, Texas (for our Periods 2 and 3 NOMADS projects) on Saturday Jan.31st, thru March 12th. We will then be traveling to Luling,Tx. for Period NOMADS project. March 14th- April 2nd. We will start working our way back towards Altoona, Ia Adventureland arriving between the 15th and 20th.

Pllease remember our Government officals as they begin a New session and new responcibilities that God may guide their decisions. Also now that the Holidays are over, please don't forget to pray for ALL of our servicemen and women. Also please pray for traveling mercies as the NOMADS are heading out this week for Period 1 projects and The Longs-Ontheroad as they are traveling to Branson along with Jack and Karen Gregory who also are traveling to Branson for the training, and that GOD may use this training to equip them as needed for this New, exciting, calling they have, to become the instruments to witness to many lost ones.

May GOD continue to bless each of you in 2009
and feel this special HUG from us
The Longs-OnTheRoad......Judy and John
