THE LONGS' ARE OK

HOWDY Y'ALL

Yes, we are doing OK , between all the work here at MISTY MOUNTAIN CAMP RESORT (here in the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley)of Virginia, and the extra sight seeing opportunities we have allowed our selves to take advantage of. Plus fighting with the understanding of our new Laptop (vista, from Microsoft, meant John having too relearn computer operations.
Judy and John clean cabins and restrooms, while John relieves Sally and Wayne (the other workamper couple here) at the registration desk 2 afternoons a week. We are averaging 35-45 hours per week between the 2 of us.
We have taken in a major Bluegrass festival in Mineral,Va.The featured Artist of the evening was Dr.Ralph Stanly. We also went to an open house at P.Buckley Moss Art gallery then out to her home in Waynesboro, to meet the noted Water Color Artist, herself (even remembered to take a camera along so we had our picture taken with her.
Judy has begun taking up working with Beads and making some very interesting jewelery pieces (while locating beads we have visit Charlottesville, a really nice BIG little town (comparable to Iowa City, Iowa,, even with a huge University presence) We spent the past Thursday(our normal day off going to the local county fair then onto Richmond (the Capitol City) to find another bead shop and check out some other RVs. While there we also took a quick drive past of the Capitol Building. Since we seam too be making it a practice of at least going past every state capitol building that we are near.. Since the 1st of Feb. we have seen the Capitol Buildings of Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama,Mississippi, Kentucky,West Virginia, and now Virginia. Also we visit the Nations Capitol Building in D.C. while Davi and Nathan (John's Sons) were with us. We are really getting a great Geography lesson during our travels :)
Pebbles and Bam-Bam say hell-o and that as soon as possible they will fill you in on their holiday away from the camper during their Iowa visit ...i will write more later my self now that i have remastered this dang machine:)

Hey, it is good to hear from you! Hope all is well and you are enjoying your time together.

Have you found out where all your clothes have gone? or where you left them? Maybe by gathering before Judy gets back to Iowa, I could have them ready.

Let me know! As I am still wondering if you got the mail I sent.

The fair will be starting next week, here. I am hoping Kurt and I can make a trip there if he has time off. Fairs are fun! I'm glad you have gotten time to enjoy some time sight seeing, on your days off.
See you soon!
